Michele A. Maracini, born February 5, 1950, in Miami Beach, grew up in Coral Gables, Florida, and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1988. She attended Florida State University from 1968 through 1971 and completed her B.A. degree in French and Economics at Florida International University in Miami in 1974. She received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law in 1988 where she was an associate editor of Inter-American Law Review, Vice President of the Moot Court Board, a member of The Order of Barristers, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Iron Arrow. She also received her LL.M. in Estate Planning from the University of Miami School of Law in 1994.
She is a member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar, and is admitted to practice before all states courts in Florida as well as the Southern and Middle Districts of the United States District Court and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
She commenced her legal career with the litigation law firm of Floyd, Pearson, Richman, Greer, et al. in 1988 and continued there until 1994 when she completed her graduate degree in estate planning. After a brief period in private practice, she joined Stokes McMillan Maracini & Antúnez P.A. in 2000.
Her practice areas cover estate administration, including decedent's estates, trust estates and guardianships, litigation in each of these areas, and estate planning.
Her community involvement includes active service as a member of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL). She was a member of the Board of Directors of the Miami-Dade County Chapter of FAWL from 1992 until 2002, has served in numerous officer positions for the organization, and was President of the local chapter in 2000-2001. She also served as Treasurer of State FAWL in 1999-2000. She has been a member of the Florida Bar's Eleventh Circuit Commission on Professionalism since 1998 and she is an active member of the Probate and Guardianship Committee of the Dade County Bar Association.
